Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday… It’s a short week for us in Beijing as Friday is a holiday (yay!). In my last post I mentioned I needed to change the name of this blog. This Beijing Life wasn’t going to make sense for much longer due to the upcoming move. My blog is now called Paper Crane Stories and it’s had a little redesign too! I love my new blog template from Angie Makes. I’ve even had a little go at coding in order to add links and pictures where I want them. It was very satisfying typing in a code and having it work out!
Changing Page Names
There are still a few kinks to iron out on the blog and the rest of the internet (isn’t there always something still to do?). For example, Facebook rejected my request to change my Facebook page name from This Beijing Life to Paper Crane Stories. They thought it would be confusing. I’d say it’s more confusing having the wrong name on the page but we’ll see. Fingers crossed they approve my second request. I’m also wondering what to do about my instagram name/handle (Joella_in_Beijing) I guess I need to change it really!
Beijing Life
I have a bunch of posts written and (almost) ready to go as well. Can’t wait to get back to blogging. We have less than 8 weeks to go in Beijing. I’m excited about the move, apprehensive about getting everything finished up here ( such as getting housing deposits back after the stress we had at our previous apartment) and I’m a little sad at the thought of leaving Beijing and saying goodbye to friends and colleagues too. Summer seems to have arrived very early this year and it’s already been up to around 34c. Justin insists they only use fahrenheit in the USA, so for the sake of practise, 34c is 93.2f (ok, I googled it). So we are really hoping for some blue sky days to get out and about and enjoy our last weeks in Beijing.
I hope you like the new blog name and design- thanks for reading 🙂
What have you been up to over the last couple of weeks? Any exciting plans for the summer?
